Scrapping with Splendour

Hi everyone! Can you believe it's the middle of October already? I swear the kids only started the school year a few weeks ago didn't they?

I've managed a little scrapping in between all the craziness of everyday life... aren't those times that you get to sit and scrap for awhile so nice!! I'm going to share my Rainbow Splendour pages with you tonight.

I indulged my love for chevron just a little on this first page LOL! I used the awesome Rainbow Splendour chevron (it's so versatile), one of the new heart wheels (I need more of these!!), a mini pinwheel (I love the little flower ones), a denim pinwheel (who doesn't love denim!) and a couple of doilies (I have them in every colour lol!).

On the next page I used a Rainbow Splendour rainbow... how cute are they!! and it worked in perfectly with the mask I used on my background :-) I also used a gorgeous yellow pinwheel, a cute lady beetle, a mini pinwheel, a fabulous garden gate and little butterfly.

The Rainbow Splendour pinwheels have triumphed again on this page!! and I've also used a little piece of chevron & another cute butterfly.

Some more fabulous chevron!!

And lastly tonight a bit more chevron :-), an embossed tag & butterfly... aren't they awesome!! And I've also included a doily, tag & bow (the bows are up there with my all time favourite RBS goodies!).

Have a great week everyone & take care! :-)

Hellllooooooo.....

Testing, testing... I'm not sure this blog still works LOL!!! That's probably got a lot to do with the person that is suppose to update it hey?

How is everyone? I hope you are well. I've been on the outskirts of things lately... not scrapping much; not always getting to check in with all your lovely blogs nearly as much as I like to and we won't even mention my poor unfortunate blog now will we :-(  Anyway, hopefully things will get back to normal now, life just got in the way for a while.

I thought I'd just do a very quick catch up on some of the very few pages I've done in the months since my last update.

Firstly some pages with gorgeous Handmade Halo products.

Secondly, some with some fabulous Rainbow Splendour goodies.
The first one actually has both Handmade Halo & Rainbow Splendour yumminess on there... perfect combination :-)

And these were for some challenges :-)

Thanks if you managed to make it to the end LOL!  I'm happy that I'm caught up with putting my pages up but sorry if it was a bit long winded.

I've been having fun doing the Olympiad Challenges over at Scrapz.Biz so I will have a few more shares for you soon :)

Take care everyone & stay warm :-)

Life seems...

to be one big catch-up all the time doesn't it??? As long as we are making the most of it while it zooms past is the main thing :-)

So I have a couple of pages to share YAY!!

I did this first page using some of the newest Rainbow Splendour goodies from Chloe's last sale. I love denim!! I just about live in my jeans & I'm also finding I love denim on my pages too. The new denim pinwheels are fabulous!! I've used a teal & a yellow one on this page. I also have one of the super cute lady beetles on there too... they are so sweet!

There's also a fantastic Handmade Halo pebble & a couple of Lime Tree Creations flowers tucked in there too :-)

I used a sketch by the talented Sheree from Scrapz.Biz for this page & there was the added criteria of using an inspirational quote... the one I used is so true I think.

My next page I created using beautiful Handmade Halo mulberry flowers & a gorgeous charm. There's a great chance to win some fabulous Halo goodies ($50 worth!!) if you upload a page using some of these Halo mulberry flowers to the Halo FB page by tonight :-) I liked using the quote on my last page so I used another one on this page as well.

I hope everyone has a fabulous Mother's Day tomorrow!! whether you are being spoilt or you are doing the spoiling :-)

Thanks for dropping by & thanks again for all the lovely comments that you leave for me :-)

Take care
Angela xxoo

I'm guilty...

of neglecting my blog aren't I? Oh dear! I'll have to try harder.  I'll do a "little" catch up post so if you manage to get to the end THANK YOU!! :-)

Firstly a page that I did for the Lime Tree Creations April challenge. Becci set a fabulous sketch that I just had to use and this is the page that resulted.

I used some of the gorgeous ScrapCake "One Moment in Time" papers (which you can get here... One Moment in Time ) and lots of Handmade Halo goodies :-)  Look at those gorgeous Corinne made flowers!! the super adorable pebbledashers; those fabulous doilies AND to top it all off perfectly the sweetest butterfly charm. And of course some Lime Tree Creations crochet trim... YUM!

In this next page I've used some gorgeous new Handmade Halo resin & flowers as well as some beautiful pebbledashers... I was spoilt for choice from my yummy Halo stash!

I was drawn to the cute Halo robot buttons & cog pebbles so I used them with some cute photos of my two boys that have been sitting on my desk for a while. My two VERY cheeky boys!! :-)

Next up is a Step-by-step challenge set by Chloe at Scrapz.Biz. I've used lots of yummy handmade embellies on this page from A lil' Somethin and Apple Tree Lane Designs.

AND last but not least (I hope LOL!) is a Scrapz.Biz Scrap it Blind challenge set by Aga. Look at those gorgeous Rainbow Splendour trees!! & my favourite, must go to embellie... mini pinwheels!! :-) I just love this photo of my DS1... he has always loved being outside helping his Dad.

Thanks so much for sticking with this loooonnngg post... I do have another page to share but I haven't photographed it yet so I'll have to make sure I do that soon & stay up to date from now on :-)

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Back to school again!

I thought I'd pop in tonight with a couple of pages to share now that I've finished getting all the kidlet's things ready for the first day back at school tomorrow... I'm not exactly sure where the past 2 weeks went but holidays are over here in Qld once again *sigh*. I'm ready to have some quiet time during the day again though I must admit LOL!

This page was for a sketch challenge set by Aga at Scrapz.Biz. It was a fabulous sketch & you also had to use brads... I've got a lot of brads so I had to give this challenge a go :-)
I used the dark background paper for this page so that I could also enter a challenge over at C'est Magnifique.

I've used a Rainbow Splendour yellow doily which was perfect & the cute little book paper envelope which worked in really well too :-)

This next page was for a What's Cooking challenge set by Chloe over at Scrapz.Biz as well. This time we had to use chipboard. I was inspired by how Chloe used chipboard on her sample page so I did something similar with my title on this page. I used raw chipboard letters & then embossed over the top :-)  There's also some RBS pinwheels on here too... just LOVE RBS pinwheels!!!!

For all those with kidlets heading back to school in the morning all the best!!
Take care everyone xxoo

Nearly here :-)

Easter that is :-)

I thought I'd pop in & share a page that I did for Chloe's Scrap it Blind challenge at Scrapz.Biz last month. I used some Handmade Halo charms which really suited the 7Dots Studio paper line that I used.

I also wanted to let you know about Samantha's April giveaway... YUMMO!!! Pop over & check it out. Samantha is one talented girl too & her wonderful work always inspires me :-)

Well, I have two little boys having races around the house so I'd better go & "gently direct" them outside LOL!!!

Have a wonderful & safe Easter everyone!

Splendid RBS

Boy! the weeks slip by so fast don't they? Sunday afternoon once again & I hope you've had a fabulous weekend. My kidlets are very excited to have started holidays & they are looking forward to the Easter Bunny paying a visit soon :-)

I have a couple of pages to share with you today. I love playing along with challenges (I don't think I'm alone there am I girls?) and Scrapz.Biz have lots of my favourites. This page was for a Base Jump challenge set by the very talented Chloe.

I've used a Rainbow Splendour yellow flower, a Star Felt Pop & a green mini pinwheel. Aren't they all so fabulous for a fun boys page? Just perfect!!

This next page was for a sketch challenge set by Natalie & you had to use washi tape... so I kinda used a fair bit LOL!!! But look at the gorgeous red RBS Pinwheel that definitely takes centre stage.

Well' I'm going to go & get stuck into some more challenges :-) I'm hoping I get some scrapping done over the holidays & I also hope that the kidlets get on well so that I'm not playing referee too much... wishful thinking probably but I can always live in hope can't I???? LOL!

An easy day?????

It was our show holiday today so it should have been a relaxing day but the kidlets decided it was a good day to fight between themselves most of the day *sigh*.  I was going to scrap but it didn't happen... hopefully tonight :-)

So I thought I'd share a couple of pages this evening  :-)

When I got this cute fimo dinosaur made by the lovely Corinne (Handmade Halo) I knew I had to make it the focus of my page. I absolutely love these photos of my DS1 & I melt every time I look at them so they were perfect to use with my gorgeous little dinosuar :-)

I've also used some cute dinosaur pebbledashers that you can get here...
And a gorgeous Super Star by Charm.

This next page I did for Sheree's sketch challenge at Scrapz.biz. I used a lovely Handmade Halo charm & some yummy Purple Pumpkin embellies. These are photos of my DD's very first cross country run when she was a very little preppie... so cute!!!

I hope everyone that has kidlets starting holidays tomorrow have a great, relaxing couple of weeks. For those that have to wait a little longer I'm sending you some strength to get through the last bit of term :-)

Take care my lovely scrappy friends! xx

Some weekend shares :-)

Hi everyone! How's your weekend going? I hope you've had a chance to have some fun & be creative. I've been lucky enough to have some scrapping time this weekend but I've also been doing a fair bit of school P&C work as well... hmmmmm think I may have forgotten about the housework LOL!

I did this page for a Scrap it Blind challenge set by Sheree over at Scrapz.biz this month. I've used a fabulous Rainbow splendour star paperclip (such a great centre piece & perfect for those boy pages!) & a couple of mini pinwheels. I just love the mini pinwheels... so versatile & they add the perfect little touch to a page :-)

And those awesomely cute fabric buttons are from my Handmade Halo stash :-)

I had a chance to play with the gorgeous new "One Moment in Time" Scrap Cake papers yesterday. These papers are so pretty & such wonderful quality! Pop over to Handmade Halo & have a look at them. I teamed the new papers with some gorgeous new resin, pebbledashers, lace & Corinne's handmade flowers... all so wonderful to work with. Check out the amazing resin heart!! They will be available at HH soon :-)

I'm going to enter this page in a pleating challenge at C'est Magnifique as well. Can you see my pleating??... it's under the title :-)

I have a few more things to share but I won't bombard you all at once LOL!
Take care everyone & thanks for popping in & for your fabulous comments!!

The secret is out :-)

Did you happen to see this? WhooHoo!! I'm so excited to be working with Chloe at Rainbow Splendour :-) We are going to have fun!!!

I just love RBS goodies & I had lots of fun last weekend making these pages. This first one is based on the March sketch from over at Handmade by Suzanne. I've used one of the very versatile doilies (cut into 2 pieces); a gorgeous flower; the cutest mushroom; those adorable little flags & a couple of the mini pinwheels. The mini pinwheels are fabulous to add that lovely bit of detail to your page so I have lots of them in my stash LOL! :-)

I just love the sweetheart trees & gates! Aren't they gorgeous?  I decided to do some hand sewing on this page too which I haven't done in a while... always seem to machine sew lately. There is also a lovely doily in pink on this page... I have quite a few doilies in different colours in my RBS stash too :-)

I'll have some more pages to show you soon. Thanks for popping by & sharing my exciting news. A big thank you for all the lovely comments I've received too... I just love reading them :-)

Secret Award??

No... actually a secret & an award!!

I was delighted when a very special lady (who is an amazingly talented scrapper by the way) gave me this award...

Thank you so much Min :-)  I was so excited & grateful to receive this award from you & it totally made my day xxoo

So the idea behind the award is to spread the love, interest and knowledge from one small blog ( under 200 followers ) to other small blogs.

To accept the award you must;

1. Link back to the person who gave it to you & thank them.

2.Post the award to your blog.

3. Give the award to 5 people ( blogs less than 200 followers ) that you enjoy visiting and who inspire you.

4. Leave a comment for these people to let them know how much you appreciate them.

I could easily give out lots more than 5 of these lovely awards because every blog that I visit inspires me & I enjoy my blogland travels... so thank you everyone!

I'd like to give my 5 awards to these awesome ladies :-)
Aga
Kerryn
Fiona
Sheree

Thanks so much for sharing your gorgeous work girls! I love popping by your blogs :-)

C'est Magnifique sketch challenge

I had a chance to play along with this month's sketch challenge at C'est Magnifique... there's a gorgeous sketch by Nadia so who could resist :-) Check out the C'est Magnifique blog here for details.

Here's the sketch
 And my page

Photo by the lovely & talented Linley at LaBelle Photographics.

Our Clown

I've been meaning to get this page up for ages but life gets a tad busy at times!!! You all know exactly what that's like I'm sure :-)

I've used some Pretty Little Studio "Clowning Around" papers & embellishments on this one... I just LOVE the clowns in this range!! I've also used a resin frame with a lovely owl charm, a cute printed transparency, that adorable bee button & also the chippie film strip which I altered with some glimmer mist & paint. All lovelies from my Handmade Halo stash. There is always gorgeous new things going into the store too so check in regularly or like Handmade Halo's Facebook page to see (or should I say drool over) all the new releases :-)

Have a great day everyone & take care

How could...

the Easter Bunny resist these two faces????  I just love this photo of my older two together after they had excitedly collected all the eggs that had fallen out of the Eater Bunny's pouch LOL!!

I used one of the 12" doilies from Handmade Halo which are so yummy!! I was going to use mist or paint on it but then I really liked the freshness of the white against my pink background paper so decided to leave it as is :-)

I've also used another silky secrets flower (I'm in love with these!); some fabric stickers; buttons & that cute little chippie bird. There's also the gorgeous Lime Tree Creations trim & flower created by Becci for Halo (Becci is an amazing crocheter!).  Lots of gorgeous Handmade Halo products :-)

And I thought that super sweet Rainbow Splendour bow matched just perfectly :-)

Here's a close-up of some Halo goodness :-)

I have another page to share so I'll be back soon with that one :-)
Take care everyone.
