Merry Christmas!

I've finally managed a little scrapping time since the kids started holidays YAY! and I'm hoping to do quite a bit more once all the festivities are over :-)

I saw this gorgeous page of Georgia Keays' on her blog. It totally inspired me & I wanted to have a go at it... so this is my page. Thank you Georgia for the awesome inspiration :-)
Photo by the ultra talented Linley, LaBelle Photographics.

I haven't done a challenge page in SO long! so I've made myself a little list of some that I would like to get done soon. I saw this great sketch set by the lovely Chloe over at Scrapz.biz.

And here is my page using some yummy goodies from Rainbow Splendour, Eye Candy Magic & Charms Creations.

In the New Year my youngest starts Prep. I'm quite sad thinking about how quickly my 3 gorgeous babies have grown :-(.  Everyone asks me what I'm going to do with myself... I think I'll find something to do LOL! I'm very involved in the school so I imagine I will spend even more time there once all 3 start & I think I deserve some more scrapping time in there too... well I hope I do anyway LOL!

I'd like to wish everyone a wonderful & safe Christmas & New Years! I hope 2012 is a great year for you. Thank you for all the gorgeous comments that you've left for me since starting my blog... I really enjoy reading them & they always make me smile :-)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Retreat shares

A big hello to everyone! I've been off-line for a while due to a number of things... my computer had to go away twice for repairs which was a tad frustrating; we went away to the Gold Coast for a fabulous (& much needed) holiday & this last school term has been SO busy!! You all know what I'm talking about on that count LOL!

So, given all of the above, scrap time has suffered very badly :-(   I did go on a retreat at the end of October with some wonderful friends & we had a fabulous few days away together. I struggled on the creating side though... just couldn't get into the groove unfortunately. I'll share my pages but they are pretty simple & nothing rave worthy LOL!

So here goes :-)
One of my scrappy friends challenged me to use yellow & clocks to scrap this photo of us all taken at the retreat. I used some Authentique for the first time.

Then a couple of school pages

Some Christmas pages.

And to finish off, a double...

So is everyone ready or nearly ready for the big, jolly fellow in red? I am thank goodness :-) I don't like shopping at the best of times and I don't cope well with crowds so I REALLY try hard to have all my Christmas shopping & preparations done well before the end of school... this year I succeeded YAY!

Thanks for stopping by after I've been absent for so long everyone... I love your visits xx

A few pages

I'm afraid that I'm going to be without a computer soon for a while... mine has a driver failing (or something like that) which is very annoying!! It's going to be a challenge having no computer that's for sure. Anyway I thought I'd just pop up a few of the pages I've done in the past couple of weeks before I go into the cone of silence for a while LOL!!
I used pagemaps sketches for these single pages...
Some yummy Purple Pumpkin, LovelyBug Bits n Bobs & Eye Candy Magic on this first page too :-)

And I used a sketch from the Big Picture class that I did (well sort of did... I'm still catching up LOL!) for this one.

Hopefully I won't be away long while my computer gets some TLC... catch up when I get back :-)

A challenge

I have been terribly slack with my blog... too much other stuff to do unfortunately :-(  I have managed to squeeze in a bit of scrapping here & there though so I haven't been left totally scrapless :-)

I did this page for Lime Tree Creations monthly sketch challenge. I used some white LTC flowers but altered them with ink & mist to match my page... it worked really well I think :-)

Lime Tree Creations are also having a giveaway this month so pop on over to see how you could win some of Becci's yummy goodies.

Thanks for all your gorgeous comments girls :-)
Take care

Busy week!

It's the last week of school holidays here & my hubby has also had the week off so we've been trying to get all those jobs done that never seem to get done... we've managed to tick most of them off the list which feels good :-)

I haven't had time to scrap since my wonderful quiet weekend but I do have a few shares that I haven't had a chance to show you.

This one is the "What's Cooking" challenge set by the lovely Kerryn... this was part of the weekly challenges set at ScrapzBiz. The theme was "Pamper Me" so I scrapped this photo of the gorgeous hairdo that the kidlets gave me one night LOL!!

The next one was the "Inspiration challenge" set by the equally lovely Sheree also for the weekly challenges at ScrapzBiz. I used one of the double page sketches from the great class that I am doing at Big Picture Classes for this. I've also used some yummy A Lil' Somethin' banners & button on this & the previous pages :-)

And lastly I saw a great sketch challenge while doing a little blog surfing & wanted to try it out. It's the monthly sketch challenge set by Handmade by Suzanne.

If you love making cards or even if you find making cards a little challenging (like me LOL!) then ScrapBiz is the place to be this weekend. There has already been two fabulous challenges set & there will be more over the weekend. You should check out Kerryn & Sheree's sample cards... they are gorgeous!!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

Quiet weekend :-)

I'm sitting in a very quiet house at the moment... nice but a bit weird LOL! Hubby & kidlets have gone to visit Grandma for the weekend & for a couple of reasons I decided to stay home. I'll be looking forward to them coming home tomorrow & might even appreciate their noise for a few minutes LOL!

I watched a movie & scrapped last night :-) I've been trying to catch up on older photos that I want to scrap & I had the leftovers of the MME kit on my desk so I did this page & added a Lime Tree Creations lollipop... yummy!

Back to my scrapping desk... YAY!!!!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend :-)

Stretch a sketch

There was a sketch challenge included in the Scrapz Virtual Crop & since I love sketches I was always going to give this one a crack but when I sat down to start I couldn't decide which of the photos I was going to use on the page. After a bit of contemplation I decided that the sketch could easily be stretched into a double which meant I could use all the photos :-)  These photos of Tiege when he received his very own tractor for his 2nd birthday just bring so many lovely memories flooding back... love them all!

I also signed up for a class at Big Picture Classes a little while ago which starts tomorrow. It's called "Double Take" & is all about double pages. I do like doing doubles so I'm looking forward to picking up some new ideas & techniques from this class over the coming weeks. Hopefully I'll have some new & different double pages to share as I go :-)

Thanks for dropping by... love that you do!! :-)

A couple of challenges

The mojo is slowly returning & I've managed to do a couple of challenges... Yippee!!

This first one is a virtual class that was taught by the ultra-talented Kerryn Lawson at Scrapz Biz. It's a fabulous class & it's always fabulous to see what all the girls come up with... there's already some gorgeous pages popping up in the gallery :-)

So here's mine... 2nd birthday photo from nearly 4 years ago so it was good to get it scrapped.

My next page is for the monthly sketch challenge at Scrapbooking Top50. It was such a lovely sketch so very easy to work with. I've been using lots of the gorgeous handmade embellishments that so many clever girls have been selling lately... they are all so gorgeous.

So here's my page... another older photo from a few years ago.

This last page was another one that I did up from the page kit that I used in my last post.

So I think I'll go & pull out some more paper & see if I can stoke up the old mojo even more... I still have lots of challenges I'd like to have a crack at.

Thanks for taking the time to have a look at my blog :-)

I finally have something to share!

Since my mojo was AWOL I pulled out another older page kit to play with. I got this kit at a retreat last year that was run by Scrappidoo Scrapbooking at the Sunshine Coast. We always have a great time when we get a chance to escape to the Coast for one of these retreats :-)

With this first page I followed the page design fairly closely & just changed a few elements. I still love these older MME papers.

This next one was inspired by one of the kit pages but it ended up pretty much totally different LOL!

I'm hoping to really get back into my scrapping this month... I've never gone this long without regular scrapping since my boys were babies!!

Thanks for dropping by & for everyone's lovely comments... love & appreciate them! :-)

Craft Room Pretties

Well my scrapping dry spell is still dry so I've got no pages to share :-( & I really want to get some challenges done this month so I'm getting frustrated *arghhhh!*. I'm hoping hubby is home a bit this afternoon (to distract the kidlets) so I can give at least one of them a go.

Thought I would share something pretty that I now have in my craft area in place of a layout. I was blog hopping one night (as you do LOL!) & I followed a link to this lovely ladies blog. Oh my!! when I saw her gorgeous work I just HAD to have some of her cozies in my craft area. I contacted Kathy (who is the loveliest lady! did I mention that already?) & she made me these.
My cricut expression is snuggled under that beautiful cozy & my flip camera is all safe & sound in the other. I've actually ordered a few more things from Kathy too but don't tell hubby LOL! Kathy also has an Etsy shop were you can check out more of her gorgeous designs for other crafting machines.

OK, better get some housework done.
Have a great weekend everyone! & thank you so much for all of your beautiful comments... they make a girl feel oh so special :-)

No Mojo :-(

I'm really not sure what's going on with my lack of mojo lately, I need to shake myself out of this scrapping slump somehow. I've really wanted to play with paper though so I pulled out a Pip Prosser page kit that I have had for a little while. I ended up having some great photos to go with it & I used some of my gorgeous Lime Tree Creations, Lovelybug Bits n Bobs & Billie's Buttons goodies on it. So I got to create a lovely page thanks to all these lovely girls :-)

Thanks for everyone's lovely comments... they all make me smile!

Judith's Scrap It Blind Challenge

The mojo still isn't flowing much for me at the moment (hopefully I'll take off running again soon) but I did do the Scrap It Blind weekly challenge set by Judith over at ScrapzBiz a couple of days ago. I used the Fancy Pants "It's the Little Things" line... yummo! There's also a cute clock button that I got from Sharyn at the last Scrapbooking Top 50 Craft markets :-)

Hopefully I'll be creating a lot more soon & have a bit more to share... fingers crossed!

A few more :-)

I've been trying to scrap but I have a nasty headache & I'm not getting far at all :-(

I have managed to download a few audible books for the kidlets to listen to in the car though so all is not lost.

Anyway, as promised, here's a few more of my recent favourites :-)

Oh! my sweet, sweet boys!!
TFL & the lovely comments :-)

Some recent pages

I thought I might start popping up a few of my more recent favourite pages over the next couple of days while I'm working on a couple of new challenges. The first 3 are ScrapzBiz challenges (awesome challenges all the time at ScrapzBiz!!) & the last one is a page I did on retreat in June.

Some yummy Purple Pumpkin goodness on a couple of these pages!

This was a challenge to use fabric & sewing so I only used fabric & cardstock on this page :-)

I'll pop up a few more tomorrow :-) Thanks for dropping by!

Clever Hubby!

I am extremely lucky to have a very handy hubby that is very good at restoring & building furniture (a hobby that my Dad introduced him to & that they shared while he was still with us). Jim had some old recycled silky oak timber in his shed that he & Dad had discovered in a timber wreckers years ago so when I asked for a bookshelf to hold my scrapping albums he decided to use it. This is the finished result & I think my Dad would be giving him a big thumbs up on this little baby!!

So glad that my albums are so easy to grab & have a look at now... I might even put my pages in the albums a little more regularly too rather than letting them pile up LOL!

Have a great day!

Scrapzbiz weekly challenges - Oh No! theme

Thanks so much for the lovely comments girls :-)

I managed to get a couple of last weeks challenges done over at Scrapbiz after having quite a scrapping block for a few weeks.

This was the Scrap It Blind challenge set by Kerryn. I love the SIB challenges especially when I'm lacking some mojo... just follow the instructions & you have a lovely page before you know it :-).

This next one was for the Fetch A Sketch challenge set by Judith. I really liked Judith's sketch & I think I'll use it again with some smaller photos.

Here's the sketch

and here's my page

If you are looking for some great challenges & some great shopping come over to Scrapzbiz.
Thanks for looking!

Purple Pumpkin July Sketch Challenge

I decided to have a go at Purple Pumpkin's sketch challenge this month since the sketch, designed by Belinda, is a beauty. I do have a "little" stash of gorgeous Purple Pumpkin goodies to play with too LOL!

I'm loving all the gorgeous homemade embellishments that are popping up in the scrapping industry at the moment & I think I'm not the only scrapper that is lovin' them. This page has a Lovelybug Bits n Bobs button on it too.

Here's the sketch

and here's my page
This is my youngest DS when he was 8 months old... he's a 4 year old whirlwind now :-)
Thanks for stopping by!

I still have no idea!!

Ok! I think have a LOT to learn about blogs but I'll just keep to the KiSS ( Keep it Simple Stupid) principle & I should be fine.

I plan on keeping a record of my scrapbooking endeavours here & maybe some other crafty things on the odd occasions that I finish a project. I hope anyone popping by likes what they discover.

Now to work out how to add pictures & pretty things LOL!

Whoops! I'd better not let my kidlets see that I used the word stupid... it's not allowed in our house.
